An excellent series and I learned alot about the mills and the industrial age. I never studied much about this time period. After reading this series, I went to Lowell, MA for a tour of the mills which included a boardinghouse like these girls lived in. Just a wonderful series.

I love all of Tracie Petersons books that I have purchased. She gets you right into the story and keeps you there till the end. I just don't want them to end.

Great read! The detail and story line is a "make you want to laugh and cry" throughout. It's a "true to life" kinda fiction.

For anyone who enjoys Christian fiction and American history, this is a wonderful work! I knew very little about the industrialization of America, and the pressures between farmers and the wealthy visionaries who realized the future of America was not in agriculture. A great price for a wonderful adventure.
